Praising Early

Ok, so I have got my tree up! I am so excited. Last year we didn't have a tree and this year I was determined that not only were we going to have a tree but we were going to enjoy it early!

The boys and I decorated the tree last night. I put the hangers on all the ornaments and the boys did the hanging. Didn't they do a good job? I hung a few high ones, but the rest they did by themselves. I could tell where Jadon hung his because there would be 3 and 4 ornaments all crammed together on the same little limb. I had to help show him that they needed to be spread out a little. So Cute!

But the best part of all is the conversation between the boys while hanging the ornaments. They were discussing how much they loved Jesus. At one point, Jonah said, "look Jadon, I have tears in my eyes thinking about Jesus". Ok, well that was a little put on from what I could tell, but he was trying to make a point. He loves JESUS! Oh, how this thrills my heart. Jadon decided to show Jonah up a little later in the evening by pointing out that now "he has tears in his eyes just thinking about Jesus". At one point you would have thought that Jadon was pentecostal. (LOL) He started rolling on the floor shouting loudly his love for the LORD.

"Lord, I love you more than anything"....then Jonah chimes in....."more than football, more than clothes...more than....more than....and the list went on. It was cracking me up! They topped the night off by singing happy birthday to Jesus. What joy fills my soul. This eventful night all started by decorating a tree. It caused us to love Jesus more and to start praising early!

Birthday Boy

Just thougth that I would share some birthday moments with you. We have kind of celebrated in phases. Last Friday night we went out to eat at Pizza Hut, Johnny Rockets and then to a movie and some of our closest friends came with us to help us celebrate!

We had deer again (5 of them) in our backyard this past Sunday morning.

Jeff has been putting down corn for them and they found it! We hope to continue to see more!

If it weren't for Jeff, my boys would never do things like this. But, thankfully for Jeff my boys can be boys. I am not sure what sparked this thought, but Jeff put Jonah up in one of the trees in our back yard for bow practice. Maybe this is all spurred from the hunting trip Jeff just came back from yesterday.

You can only imagine that Jonah ate it up! Oh, and guess who wanted to do it next? Ugh! Jeff let Jadon do it, but I couldn't watch. There are no photos of him.


Jeff has got some video footage of this bow practice as well as from Jonah's last football game today. I am sure you'll all be seeing those soon.

Jared and Nikki's Wedding

Hello everyone!
Jeff's baby brother , Jared got married last weekend in Kentucky to his beautiful bride Nikki.

That's right. Jonah didn't know what it was when he caught it. His remark was, "What is this? is it underwear?" He had no idea what Jared had pulled off out from under Nikki's dress.
