TMI
Ok, so I realize that this is probably TMI but let's face it....this is life and I am sure many of you have had very interesting forms of communicating in your family. So, here goes.
Right now, my youngest is going through a paranoia stage of throwing up or poohing in his drawers! I really hope this stage passes soon, but for now we just make the best of it. So, I have been checking backsides lately each time he has the thought that it "might" have happened. The other day, I made the comment while checking his back side, "son...you are all clear...you are clean as a whistle".
I didn't even think about it but this phrase must have stuck in his little brain. So, needless to say the question was asked again yesterday and we had this dialog in the kitchen.
Son: (as drawers are down in the middle of the kitchen) Mom, I think I might have....you know....so, will you check my whistle?
Mom: (trying not to lose it on the phraseology).....son....we need to move this show to the bathroom because I don't think that anyone else wants to see your whistle.
Nana: (calling out from the distance)I want to see his whistle!
Son: (calling out from the bathroom) You've already seen my whistle!!
Scores of laughs from the whole house for the rest of the day!
Our family is nuts, but I am CRAZY about them!

Time away
We took a trip a couple of weeks ago to my grandfathers house. It was so great to get some time away from the routine. My grandfather has alot of acreage out in the woods, but this was the FIRST time that we rode all our motor toys in them. Jeff and a friend of the family spent some time making LOTS of tracks in the woods for us to play in. I honestly have to say that I had a BLAST doing this. It was so much fun zipping around on the tracks....enjoying the thrill of the wind in my face (and the dirt in my mouth) and the beauty of the woods. LOVED IT!
Look who else got out there in the woods. Even Nana had a set of wheels!
Here are some pics of the boys riding.
We had to pin Jade's bangs back so he could see through his helmet.
Jeff made a jump for him and Jonah to play on.
Here is Papaw and Nana coming out one of the trails. They were checking them out!
On Tuesday of the week, we went to our yearly family reunion on my dad's side.
Here is me and cousin Tara
Boys playing in the lake.
AND...the FOOD!
Here are the siblings.
All of us together.

Here are some pics at the park at the reunion
We got lots of good time with papaw during the week!
To top off the week....we ended on a sweet note. It was my birthday!
We ate cake till we couldn't see straight!
I got the coolest gift from my husband and my two VBFF'S!
Here it is! Love that thing!
Love from papaw. The LORD is so good!

Hired Help
Well, after being at home with the boys last summer and realizing that they only enjoy being out of school a handful of days before they start saying the forbidden word...."Bored"....we hired some help this summer to keep them a little more entertained. The YMCA pool has been a blessing!
Here are some pics of their first couple of days at the pool.
